ATTACK: PART 1 REVIEW

The trailer for Attack: Part 1 created a buzz with its subject matter and high-level VFX. Everyone was intrigued to see how this would be executed and now that film is out, we don’t have to wait any longer. And of course, who is the best person to play the lead in this type of film? Of course, John Abraham

The film is essentially about India’s first super-soldier. After a terrifying accident kills his girlfriend (Jaqueline Fernandez) and leaves him paralysed from the neck down, John Abraham’s character agrees to an experiment which transforms him indestructible. What follows is how he uses his new powers to help India from terrorists.

Lakshya Raj Anand’s direction is quite good, especially considering that this is his debut. Attack: Part 1 is an action film and he ensures that the film has enough fights to keep the interest going. He also excels in the romantic portions. The emotional moments also stand out. We can feel Arjun’s pain when he’s confined to his bed or wheelchair. The way he turns into a super soldier and understands what he is capable of makes for a great watch.

John Abraham is of course in great shape and much better than what he was in his recent films. He shines in the emotional scenes and is at his best while doing action.

Overall, Attack: Part 1 is a great watch if you are looking for an adrenaline rush. Although the main point of focus is action, it has comedy, drama and romance which makes it enjoyable for everyone.
