Impact Of Ertugul On Pakistani Film Industry

Taking the country by storm, “Dirilis Ertugul” erupted TV screens across Pakistan. This came to light when Prime Minister Imran Khan commended the drama serial urging it to be aired in Urdu dubbing during one of his conferences. This created a wave of interest as the serial enticed viewers with its storyline. Praised cinematography along with historical dialogues dating back several hundred years exported this masterpiece to many countries such as U.S, Afghanistan, Albania, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus & many more. It has suppressed the influence of Hollywood, Bollywood & other film industries by creating its trend worldwide.

     The international audience of “Resurrection Ertugrul” is increasing in the digital world. The TV series has been translated into over 25 languages, including English, Urdu & Arabic. The drama serial focuses on the life of forefathers of the founder of the Ottoman Empire (Osman). This drama highlights various battles fought against traitors in the Byzantine Empire, Seljuk Empire, Mongols, Knights Templar and the Isfendiyarids by the fearless Turk warriors.

 The airing of this drama serial came as a pleasant experience for Pakistanis, depicting a unique narrative which differs from mundane along with concurrent scripts, mostly connected with family disputes or content that promotes hatred among relations.

The Earth-shattering script of this Turkish drama serial possesses a spiritual effect on Pakistanis as it is inspired by factual Islamic history. Ertugrul delineates brave Muslims who fought against injustice and facing calamities & conspiracies raised to divide Muslim rulers. Along with the exceptional script, the actors have gained popularity. Pakistanis are looking forward to welcoming them to their homeland.

Turkish actors reciprocated heartful sentiments for Pakistanis. Our people are inspired by them to such a level that children are making videos with bite-size scenes performing swordsmanship skills, imitating those performed in this TV serial. Is there more? Yes! In fact some in Pakistan have taken it further by observing the traditions in marriages which are followed in the serial.
