Umaima Mehtab The director of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Jumanji: The Next Level, Jake Kasdan is teaming up with Dwayne Johnson once again for his upcoming Christmas action adventure, Red One. Johnson will be joined by Chris Evans and an impressive ensemble including: Lucy Liu, Kiernan Shipka, Bonnie Hunt, Kristofer Hivju, Nick Kroll, Wesley Kimmel and J.K. Simmons.
After Santa Claus – Code Name: RED ONE – is kidnapped, the film follows Johnson who plays the North Pole’s Head of Security as he teams up with the world’s most infamous bounty hunter (Chris Evans) in a globe-trotting, action-packed mission to save Christmas.
The trailer promises a full-on rollercoaster ride with comedy, action and adventure that will definitely entertain audiences of all ages. The fresh Johnson-Evans team up is eagerly anticipated and from watching the trailer, can we say that their dynamic will be hilarious to watch! The CGI characters are sure to give the audience a laugh too in order to provide comic relief and keep the feeling of Christmas.
With the holiday season approaching, Warner has never disappointed with their festive films and this film subverts the classic Christmas vibe by throwing in a little action in there.
Releasing on 8th November 2024 in UK cinemas by Warner Bros UK, the film is produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Seven Bucks Productions and The Detective Agency.
