Tom & Jerry The Movie Review

Who remembers sitting in front of the telly, eyes peeled, watching this legendary cat-mouse chase?
I do! It was always such a joy watching and waiting for how Tom reacted to Jerry’s mischiefs.
This film’s bonus is the other animated characters that I absolutely missed watching. Spike shows up, mostly putting Tom in his place and even though he doesn’t particularly chases Jerry, he doesn’t have a soft spot for him either.

The chase begins when a prominent hotel is preparing to host a big fat Indian wedding like no other! They hire Kayla, played by Chloë Grace Moretz, to help with the preparations. She plans for Tom to get rid of Jerry, who has had the hotel management and guests distressed.
Tom walks the halls in his hat and a badge giving him an official place at the Royal Gate Hotel, thanks to the ‘new recruit’ Kayla. However Kayla who has next to no experience heading a hotel team finds herself in a tiff with the current manager Terrance played superbly by Micheal Peña.

The couple, Ben and Preeta, show up in their flamboyant and fancy style with their beloved pets Spike and Tootes who add trouble to the hotel’s already mismanaged issues.

When Tom finally gets rid of Jerry, they give him a praise and a permanent place at the Royal Gate Hotel. In the meantime, Spike gives Tom a hard time. However, Jerry comes back to the hotel.

Jerry has something precious that is lost at the hotel and upon seeing this Kayla gives him another chance. Tom and Jerry join teams but before they know they are put in a sticky situation where, once again, they become rivals.

They show up at the same time at the hotel where the wedding is taking place, not knowing that they were made to go against one another by the same person! Once again we see a crazy cat- mouse chase, but this time it involves the whole wedding exotic animal recession with peacocks, elephants and a tiger!

One of the most beloved rivalries in history is reignited when Jerry moves into New York City’s finest hotel on the eve of “the wedding of the century,” forcing the event’s desperate planner to hire Tom to get rid of him, in director Tim Story’s “Tom & Jerry.”  The ensuing cat and mouse battle threatens to destroy her career, the wedding and possibly the hotel itself. But soon, an even bigger problem arises: a diabolically ambitious staffer conspiring against all three of them.
