ZEE5 Global, the world’s largest streaming platform for South Asian content, recently announced its Original film Kya Meri Sonam Gupta Bewafa Hai?. After the film was announced, people went gaga on social media wondering what the story would be about as the real incident remains a mystery. Well, the streaming platform has now released the trailer to give everyone a glimpse of the story.
The trailer begins in the small town of Bareilly where a series of comedy of errors starts with a line written on a currency note that goes viral, leading to a chain of events. Sonam, played by Surbhi, can be seen as a badass and full-of-life character. Sintoo, played by Jassie Gill, is the man who falls madly in love with Sonam. The trailer looks promising and will make the audience laugh throughout.
On the release of the trailer, Jassie Gill said, “I remember this incident created so much curiosity amongst the audience and nobody actually knew what exactly it was. The trailer looks exactly the way I imagined it when the script was narrated to me. Can’t wait for everyone to watch the film on 10th September on ZEE5!”

Presented by Jayantilal Gada (Pen Studios), produced by Dhaval Gada and Aksshay Gada and Directed by Ssaurabh Tyagi, Kya Meri Sonam Gupta Bewafa Hai? marks the Bollywood debut of actor Surbhi Jyoti opposite leading man and Punjabi munda Jassie Gill. It also stars Vijay Raaz, Brijendra Kala, Atul Srivastava and National Award winner and late actress Surekha Sikri in pivotal roles. The love-comedy also has a fantastic music album which will be released soon.
Kya Meri Sonam Gupta Bewafa Hai? is set to premiere exclusively on ZEE5 Global on 10th September.
